The Minerva Seed Fund is a early-stage venture capital company that makes investments in high-growth companies in exchange for equity ownership in the company. The fund seeks to make investment between $50,000 and $500,000 in promising company. These may be but are not limited to technology companies, government contracting companies, software companies or product companies. The Minerva Seed Fund is focused on investments located in the Virginia or metro DC area.

The mission of the Minerva Seed Fund to provide alternative funding that facilitates business development and subsequent economic development opportunities. There is a gap that currently exists in the market place for early, seed-stage investments and by providing this much needed capital the fund can help accelerate these ideas into ventures, which will subsequently enable them to secure funding from more traditional funds.
